Town Of Ledyard

We started off our day on the bus ride with homemade cookies, prizes and other refreshments provided by the Len Family - Darrell, Moira, Ryan and Ethan (Darrell was our driver extraordinaire). There was plenty of time for shopping and eating at Yankee Candle in South Deerfield, MA. We had a short stop at the Hogback Mountain Gift Shop that also had a view of three states, and then on to the Adam's Family Farm in Wilmington, VT, for the sleigh ride. We met Mr. Adams and his draft horses, Diesel and Jack. Patti, from the Old Mill Restaurant, joined us for the ride. It was a beautiful day for a sleigh ride. After a stop at the cabin for hot chocolate, it began to lightly snow. Perfect! When we arrived back at the barn, we boarded the bus and made our way to the Old Mill Restaurant. The open fireplace and cabin-like interior were warm and welcoming. Dinner was delicious. Before we knew it, it was time to head home. A good day!!! These are pictures from our trip:

At the cabin, we stopped for hot chocolate and a tune or two on the player piano. A few brave souls tried their feet at the player piano.	Everyone liked the outhouse!
Here comes Diesel and Jack to take us back to the barn. They are beautiful animals!	Relaxing before dinner.
