Horse
Experience a variety of horse oriented activities with the major goal of riding one hour every day. Learn safety around horses, general health care , grooming and tacking up. Learn about different pars of the horses and different breeds, leading and lounging and maybe see some of our new foals or a blacksmith shoeing a horse. You'll learn many things about the world of horses, but best of all you will get to love and care for a horse for a week. This camp will be at Leaning Birch Equestrian at 463 Pumpkin Hill Road Ledyard, CT  06339.

Horseback Riding Camp

  • Tacking up (putting their saddles and bridles on)
  • Parts of the horses
  • Different breeds
  • Parts of their tack and equipment
  • Leading and lounging
  • The world of horses
  • To love and care for a horse for a week
  • That horses are truly wonderful animals
  • You may see new foals or a blacksmith shoeing a horse.
  • Please bring snacks and drinks.
